Marc Dressen says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am +itsravv Good question. Yes you can, but note that coconut oil also has calories just in case you wanted to add that on top of your regular diet. Marc cheryl gaskin says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am Question. ii practice intemittent fasting like in the Warrior diet etc. ii do drink coffee on mornings even throughout the day until ii break my fast. would this drink significantly break my fast? Or would my body remain in a fasted state? Marc Dressen says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am +cheryl gaskin Good question! In short it will not break your fast as coconut oil is oil which doesn’t trigger an insulin response in your body therefore doesn’t break your fast. Hope this helps? Marc suzan24k says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am Oh, it definitely makes a big difference blending in a blender. I find that after that it tastes like it has a dairy cream taste. Actually, it tastes better. I initially tried the coconut oil similar to your demonstration, but couldn’t keep doing it. Now, I am easily able to drink blender-blended coffee, coconut oil and I put stevia. I do agree with the benefits you described as well. I now skip breakfast as I am trying to do the Intermittent Fast program and it helps. Thank you for the video. Marc Dressen says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am +suzan24k I’m going to try the blender idea too 🙂 Stevia seems a good sugar substitute in my opinion. Great stuff here! Kanika Blunt says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am I can’t do black coffee, how about adding sugar free non dairy creamer? Kanika Blunt says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am +suzan24k Thanks for the suggestion, I will definitely give it a try!! suzan24k says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am +Kanika Blunt I can’t do black coffee either. Putting coffee and coconut oil in a blender makes it taste like real dairy cream and I am not lying. I put in a blender and mix on high for 5-10 seconds my 10 ounces of coffee, 1 tablespoon of really good virgin organic coconut oil (I buy mine at Costco) and put stevia for sweetening. The color is caramel when done with foam on top. I have been drinking this EVERY day now. I am so happy because I had trouble giving up cream. Try it and let me know how you like it. Marc Dressen says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am +Kanika Blunt I know black can be a challenge at the beginning, but with everything you can get used to it 🙂 I don’t see a problem in adding “sugar free non dairy creamer” to your coffee, just check it’s lactose / dairy free and it should be fine. Waqar Younis says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am I make the same thing, however I blend it all together, it turns out resembling a cappuccino 🙂 Marc Dressen says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am +Waqar Younis Brilliant Idea, I’ll give it a try too 🙂 brandy vela says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am I drink my coffee black anyways, but no sugar either? suzan24k says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am +brandy vela Some people say it tastes great and doesn’t even need to be sweetened. Personally, I put mine in a blender with stevia as my sweetener and it comes out a caramel color with foam on top and tastes amazing. Marc Dressen says: July 25, 2015 at 10:56 am +brandy vela Great! No sugar, that’s what will spike your insulin levels and switch your body into “sugar” burning rather than “fat” burning mode. (it’s a bit more complex of course, but that’s it in a nutshell).
